Samsung Galaxy A9 was first available on 2nd December 2015. Later Samsung released an updated version of Galaxy A9 and called it Galaxy A9 (2018). This phone was released on October 11, 2018. Samsung Galaxy A9 is the first smartphone in the world that features a quad camera. It has a sleek and ergonomic design. With 3D rear glass back panel, the phone looks amazing. The phone has a 6.3-inch display and it comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels, having a thickness of 7.8mm it weighs just 183gm. This phone is quite heavy when compared to other Samsung’s smartphones. The Mobile phone has a Super AMOLED Full HD+ display and has a sharp pixel density (393 PPI). With Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 and 6GB/8GB RAM, Galaxy A9 can handle multitasking and high-end games without any problem. It is not as good as Snapdragon 845 but still, it can handle complex day to day tasks. This phone features Adreno 512 GPU which can deliver amazing graphics. Design: Comparing to Samsung Galaxy A8 which had a screen size of 5.7 inches, this phone has a large screen of 6.3 inches super AMOLED Full HD+ display. The phone has a bezel-less display and the screen to body ratio is 80.86%. It has a capacitive touchscreen. You can find a button on the left of the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) for the Bixby voice assistant. On the right-hand side of the phone, you can find the power button and volume buttons. You can also find Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi hotspot. The phone has Fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensors, accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensors, and compass. It has Samsung’s voice assistant, Bixby. The UI of the phone is very visually polished and there’s an endless list of useful settings. It even supports multi-window so you can use two apps at a time by dividing the screen into the half. Though all app doesn’t support the multi-window feature most of the apps do support it.

Performance: The phone is powered by two quad-core Kryo 260 processors (2.2GHz and 1.8GHz) and is associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset which can together deliver a premium experience. It has the Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB/8GB RAM to handle multitasking and perform complex tasks. Well, Snapdragon 660 isn’t as good as Snapdragon 845 but it has the ability to perform high-end tasks and it can handle multi-tasking easily. It's game mode and the one-handed mode is very helpful. With Game Mode On, you won’t get annoying notifications which disturb your game. You can customize the notifications you want to see while playing games.

Battery: The new Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 3800 mAh battery which is bigger than the battery packed in Samsung S9 and S9 plus. This phone comes with a Type-C charging port. This phone features fast battery charging (18W. Once fully charged this phone can give approximately 21hr of talk time (3G), 10hrs of web browsing and 15hrs of video playback. The phone comes with Ultra Power Saving mode which is common in all Samsung flagship phones. Switching these modes off can increase the battery life by 8% approximately.

Camera Quality: Samsung Galaxy A9 is the first phone to feature quad-camera. It has 24MP (f/1.7, 27mm wide, dual pixel) + 8MP (f/2.4, 12mm ultra-wide) + 10MP (f/2.4, 52mm telephoto) + 5MP (f/2.2, 24mm wide) quad rear camera. The primary camera with a 24-megapixel sensor and f/1.7 aperture is great for low light. The zoom camera has a 10-megapixel f/2.4 sensor, and the ultra-wide camera gets only an 8-megapixel sensor with the same f/2.4 aperture. Different customization's such as adjusting ISO and exposure is available and with all the different modes available it makes clicking pictures more interesting. It has different modes such as pro, auto-HDR, panorama, etc. There are slow-motion, super slow-motion, and Hyperlapse options available for video recording. The phone also has a depth mode and the camera automatically adjusts according to the light and gives the best picture quality. Rear Camera can record 2160p video at 30fps. The phone comes with 24MP (f/2.0, 27mm wide) single front-camera with a fixed focus which can click amazing wide selfies and it can record 1080p video at 30fps.
